BONUS: Because we are now planning the conference for September, you are allowed to use the CEU’s from the conference to count for the year 2020 or 2021. Essentially, the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science allows 25 months to complete the required CEU’s, and September can count for this year or next. See the IBBS rules here: https://www.legis.iowa.gov/docs/ACO/chapter/645.32.pdf

Announcement:

Update about IMHCA Conference 2020:

I wanted to reach out to all of our members, attendees, exibitors, sponsors and volunteers and update you on the decision we have made about our 2020 IMHCA Conference.  Due to the CDC recommendations we are not able to host our conference on April 30th and May 1st, unfortunately.  After much discussion and feedback from speakers, conference committee members and the board we have decided to postpone the conference until September 3rd and 4th, 2020 at the Sheraton in West Des Moines.  This will give us enough time for COVID 19 to hopefully be under control and also be able to get our CEU’s prior to licensure renewal.  If  things are not safe to engage in a group setting by then, we will hold our conference as a webinar. Postponing will also give us more time to prepare for this delivery method, if needed.  If you have already registered for the conference, you will not have to register again for the conference in September.  If for some reason you do not care to attend the conference in September, we will refund your registration fee in full due to the pandemic this year.  Please contact treasurer.imhca@gmail.com if you would like a refund, and please forward your transaction or reciept from paypal to speed up the process and ensure accuracy. We are also accepting more registrations at this time and will be extending the early bird rate until further notice. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
