Seeking a Therapist in Northwest Iowa
Northwest Iowa Counseling, a mental health private practice in the heart of Spencer, IA, is seeking a compassionate therapist. Due to the needs in our area, we are looking to expand our team of clinicians. We currently serve populations from birth to older adults, including individual, group, family, and couples therapy work. Our goal as a practice is to support each clinician as they grow in the areas they are passionate about. We receive enough phone calls each week to fill your caseload with desired clientele and areas of specialty.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment
- Assess and diagnose clients’ mental health condition based on review of client information and interview
- Conduct regular appointments with clients with a variety of presenting problems
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Complete documentation timely in EHR system
Qualifications for Mental Health Therapist
- Valid license in the state of Iowa as an LMFT, LMHC, or LISW, or working towards full licensure as a LAMFT, tLMHC, or LMSW (Clinical Supervision can be offered)
- Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
Ability to work as a team member in a small, fun office environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families
- Passion for advancing knowledge in the mental health therapy field
Salary based on a private practice model – you’re in charge of deciding how many clients you want on your caseload, thus determining how much money you bring in
