Important Dates:
April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day. Autism Speaks has some amazing resources. What is autism? | Autism Speaks
April 7th is World Mental Health Day. Mental Health is health and should be incorporated in life in the same way that physical health is considered and prioritized. Asking for help is a normal part of life and should be a source of strength.
April 12th is Teal Day. A day to celebrate all counselors and the services they provide. Also a day to take care of a counselor and recognize self-care for those who practice.
April 16th is National Stress Awareness Day. This was started by the Health Resource Network. Research has shown the negative effect stress can have on our physical and mental health if we don’t find ways to keep stress in check. Find a way to relax on this day.
