We are so excited you are here! There are so many great benefits to serving on the Association Board of your professional organization. These include continuing education credits for serving, opportunities to attend our state and national conferences, networking with other providers, and the opportunity to advocate for mental health at the state level. Our volunteer board members work hard to support mental health counseling through networking, advocacy, continuing education and public relations.
General expectations of all Association Board members are that they maintain active IMHCA/AMHCA Unified membership in good standing, attend quarterly board meetings, participate in an annual board retreat, help plan the programming of IMHCA, participate in committee meetings (based on their chair or interest), and collaborate with other Association Board members to accomplish tasks that meet the mission of IMHCA. Most meetings are held virtually or with a virtual option. We love having representation from across the state, so don’t let distance stop you from applying!
This application form is open for nominations year-round to cultivate interest and keep a list of those interested in leadership positions. If you are interested in a specific position that is not open, feel free to join the relevant committee associated with the position and we will keep your application on file. We will reach out periodically to those who are expressing interest. Terms are two years with the exception of the President role.
